The luggage was lost by BA.
Eagle Aviation collected it 4 days later when BA released it to them. They picked it up from Manchester before 7 am and it was registered on the tracking system. Later it was recognised as ‘prepared for delivery’, then later we received a message to say it was due ‘out for delivery’ later that evening. They gave a predicted 2 hour slot. We waited for an hour before the time slot and an hour and 20 mins after the slot, which was after 11 pm!! … but nothing.. no bag .. no communication.. nothing.
The following morning, still no communication, no update on the tracking link. We had no clue where the bag was or whether there was any plan to return it. We literally searched everywhere to try to find a way to make some contact. Emailing 2-3 times and trying everywhere to find a number… it’s impossible.
I read lots of disturbing reviews which made me so worried..
That afternoon the tracker was finally updated and was back at the depot being ‘prepared for delivery’ again. At that point we managed to intercept the delivery and they agreed to allow us to collect the bag…Later we discovered that they failed to deliver it the night before because of f extreme traffic issues. It was Glastonbury weekend. The driver was lovely, really apologetic about not achieving the delivery we expected.
The bag was returned to us in a perfect state. No damage, nothing missing. We were very grateful.
The process isn’t ideal at all, as you are worried, anxious and frustrated before Eagle Aviation even collect your bag from the airline.. However, once they got the bag it was back with us within 36 hours..
I just wish that Eagle Aviation would improve their tracking communication. It wouldn’t be a massive investment to upgrade so the client could monitor the process. I am so grateful to them for helping us get the bag back as BA just basically ghost you
if your bag has been collected by Eagle Aviation… don’t lose heart by reading all the awful reviews.. be a bit patient.. it’s not ideal but it is in their interest to return it to you and they will.
It’s never going to be as quick as you want it to, but in my limited experience, it will get to you . Good Luck
