Worst Customer Service Ever- Put an…

Worst Customer Service Ever- Put an immediate freeze on your card if you choose to get one. If your card is ever compromised by a random person guessing card numbers (no pin or security code required), you will catch hell trying to get your money back. Customer service will transfer you to the fraud department after they waste 30 minutes of your time waiting there. Then your will spend hours waiting for the next department to answer. I think it's hours, because I have always hung up after 90 minutes. I have NEVER reached the fraud department, so I can't tell you if they really even exist. There are many better cards than this one and I regret ever opening this account.

Merrick bank has the worst possible…

Merrick bank has the worst possible customer service. After holding for a total of roughly 6 hours in the last two days, I'm still on hold right now with a very simple problem that has somehow taken days to fix. Ive been shuffled around transferred to other reps and assured the my problem was fixed before having to call back and start the whole process over. on top of all that, Ive been hung up on three times after holding for hours. DO NOT GET A MERRICK CARD. Nothing about it is worth the trouble.

I received my credit card within a few…

I received my credit card within a few days of being approved. They have a range of credit card options, and I was able to choose the one that best suited my needs. I also appreciated the fact that they offer an online account management platform that allows me to keep track of my balance, payments, and rewards.

The only minor complaint that I have is that the interest rates on the credit cards can be a bit high. However, I knew this going in and made sure to pay off my balance each month to avoid accruing interest charges.

They gave us a card when no other company would and they charged us a fair price for their service. We have never had any problems with them over many years that we have used their services

Recognizing on time payments with increases in credit. Easy set up app that's easy to use. Understanding of people trying to rebuild their credit score and giving that person a chance.

Applied to Merrick to better my credit. I’ve been with Merrick for a year and half now. No issues received 2 credit increases so far! Wish the interest rate was lower! Overall great company

When ever I have a question I speak with a real person. And customer service go the extra mile to take care of you problem. And it is so easy to make your payment by phone . In my book Merrick Bank is number one . I can say they put customer first . Thank you so much I appreciate you .

Beware of Merrick Bank business…

Beware of Merrick Bank business tactics. First, if you schedule a payment on their website, they will hide the scheduled payment from you on their website in an effort to get additional payment. Second, if you enroll in automatic notices, they will NOT send you reminders so they can hit you for late fees. Third, their monthly fees, even if you have no balance, is usurious and should be prohibited.

I don't like the fact that my account…

I don't like the fact that my account got so confused and is not correct.. I personally contacted the company that charged my card for hotel stay, in which we never stayed there because the condition of the hotel was extremely filthy. The hotel agreed to put the money back on my card, in which they did and someone in the investigation department returned it to them because I was told they paid twice. That was not true. I feel like we paid twice if anyone did. The Merrick Bank staff would not take a thorough look at the transactions.
