I already wrote a review about the support with which it is impossible to work. Now a new problem has appeared and again the help of support was needed. Support is trying hard to write that they are very sorry, that this happened and they will definitely help, but they are just playing for time asking the same questions. We never got any help from them. It's been almost two weeks. I want to warn people. Your site will work until a problem occurs and no one will help you in it and you will not be able to take the site anywhere. This is the worst support service ever.

I hate this platform

I hate this platform. Consistent issues, NOT user-friendly unless you are a developer and or can afford to hire an expert for loads of stuff. Shipping rules are extremely inflexible and complicated. Lacks freedom on many levels. Definitely regret trying them for my shop. SO disapointed.

Shopify's Support is Very Bad

I became a customer of Shopify over five years ago and in the beginning their support was great! You could talk with a human and get complicated support issues taken care of quickly. Now chat or email are the only choices and complicated issues are never resolved. I have requested many times that they bring back phone support espcially for established customers with retail businesses, but they haven't. I cannot recommend Shopify as an on-line platform. If they bring back phone support I will gladly change my review.

Don't use shopify for your brand.

Have my clothing brand with Shopify platform for 4years. they just shut down our store for noel reason at all. After we send all proof with our stock and documentation still no help.
Its really painful then you building brand for 4 years and they turn of your website like this.

Only 3 options for a product? Seriously?

Only 3 options and 100 variants for a product is really terrible. I cant complete my webshop without buying an expensive complicated app. Even wix has 100 options and 1000 variants possible. you lost another customer for this problem. I'm switching to wix.

Don't buy it, waste of time and money

It is literally the worst experience I've ever had. They say about multiple features in e-commerce offer but it does not work. You simply cannot import items to your Products tab, and when you get tired to fight this system and go to support - you spend hours chatting with agents but no one knows the answer, they simply tell you do this or this, but none of these instructions actually help. So you waste your time and do not get work done. It is disgusting!

Support? Not a Chance

You will never get any real support from Shopify. The so called support agents cut and paste their responses and just keep blaming customers for its technical issues. Shopify is all in for its shareholders and it could care less about its actual customers. This will not be successful in the near term. It's maddening.

Used to work well...

Used to work well. Now, I enter all of my information correctly when purchasing from a merchant that utilizes Shopify, and no matter WHAT information I enter, I receive an error saying that my payment details cannot be verified.

I have quadruple checked my information, tried from different devices, and looked for a way to chat with support. THERE ISN'T ANY. Guess I won't be purchasing ANYTHING from websites that utilize Shopify because they can't tell me why my payment details no longer work. GREAT WORK SHOPIFY.

THEY SHUT OUR STORE DOWN WITHOUT WARNING, THEM EXTORTED US TO PAY THEM WHEN THE SITE WAS UNDER DEVELOPMENT UNDER A DEVELOPER ACCOUNT. THE CHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE DOES NOT HELP WITH ANYTHING. FIND A NEW PLATFORM WHILE YOU CAN!!!

account shutdown for actually complying

Raoul from Shopify's Trust & Safety team asked certain items to be removed and we complied they very next day. Despite this they kept saying your store is violating without any explanation. When you seek out support team they keep saying wait for their email.

We kept telling support that we have been given a deadline and our store will be terminated. They kept telling us to wait and in the end store was shut down.

Absolutely, worst service. They will take your money and then shut your store. No wonder they are extending their $1 offer because people realise they have the worst team ever.

Especially, Shopify's Trust & Safety

Its quite the contrary, you lose trust in the organization if you have employees like Raoul

Store disabled without any notice !!!

Since 15 June my store with shopify was disabled without any notice or email (the front end and backend) this action caused a serious damage on my ranking on SEO and stopped our activity ..
For this action i consider this error is the dummiest one and shopify should have a shame to make like this kinf of errors..
I contacted the support .. instead of solving the issue immediatly they told me that a team will contact me via email to solve the issue , until now there is answer .. now i'am looking for a lawyer to get a recompasation for this stupid behaviour.

Good Service, Bad-ish Product

I was matched with Abigail, and she helped me make the best of a bad situation. She gave me tons of resources, and while in the end I wasn't able to solve the problem, she was very professional. The real problem was that Shopfiy overlooked several things in their default free themes.

Stay away

When I had to buy shopify at the beginning everything was fine. Inside shopify itself, bigbuy wrote that if you bought shopify for 1 year, customers would be able to choose which shipping company they wanted. when i bought this bigbuy had forgotten to update so spotify said i had to upgrade again which i didn't want. It has been going downhill ever since. I have tried to get my money back from bigbuy and shopify with no response as I don't think they have delivered a product as stated. As a dropshipper and website, I want to make sure that everyone gets to deny that they have to stay far away as a from shopify. choose another alternative instead. You have to hope they respond to this post, and compromise and send the money back, otherwise it just shows what a bad company they are. I will return here if it will be a positive experience. But for now, STAY AWAY FROM SHOPIFY

Shopify webshop starten is een heel groot risico

16-06 they closed our shop after building and working hard for 2 months to get it online, invested alot to come this far, webshop was not even live yet.

This is what Shopify gives us (without any warning before-hand):
After reviewing your information and website, we have determined that you are in violation of Section 7 of the Shopify Acceptable Use Policy and we are therefore unable to support your business. We are terminating your account in accordance with our right in Section 14.3 of Shopify Terms of Service.

No explanation, and till todat no reply on why this has happened, worthless and baddes service ever! Looks like a god-like team just decodes whatever they want without giving warnings, a clear reason why and they simply ignore emails of us aksing why.

Shopify will not allow you to have multiple stores under 1 account they will force you to pay a separate billing for each store... if you have a baby, a sports, and a ladies store for example you would have to pay 3x accounts

Shopify Will Freeze Your Funds!

I own a business that has been using Shopify for approximately 9 months. In that time, we've sold a lot of products and had basically no issues. The system itself works fine and has a lot of good features. However, their business practices leave a lot to be desired. A few days ago they arbitrarily decided to evaluate our account. There was no warning for this. No heads up of any kind. During this time they allow us to keep selling, but they freeze all of our funds and will not payout for the sales we have made. Since we are an ecommerce business this means we cannot access any of the funds we need to operate that we have generated through sales. Multiple attempts to contact customer support have generated 'cut and paste' responses and we have been told that a standard review of our account could take 1-2 weeks. So, during this time, Shopify can refuse to payout for the sales we have made without giving any notice. This means we have no way to fund things like payroll, overhead, etc, and we are basically left at their mercy until one of their account managers gets around to reviewing our account and deciding if we can continue to operate on their platform. I don't understand why they couldn't review our account without freezing our funds. Yet, I have seen where quite a few merchants have experienced this exact same thing. Merchants beware!
