We've been doing a lot of DIY lately, completely gutting and installing a new bathroom and kitchen, and Toolstation is the first place I look at when we need supplies. More often than not they have what we need and at a decent price. Click and collect works well and always receive the text message shortly after ordering to say the item is ready to collect. And if I ever do need to return something, they never quibble. 5* all round

As an older woman shopping in a ‘man’s world’, I am prepared to be talked down to, made to wait while bigger orders are dealt with, and generally feel embarrassed. NONE of this happened on my recent visit. The young man serving was polite, helpful and positive. The drill bit I needed arrived the next day as promised and I was immediately notified. Tool station Hove has now replaced other similar shops in my use and recommendations.

Had a really poor experience with Screwfix and ended up with no resolution other than a refund. That evening I saw the product I needed online at Toolstation. Fabulous website, easy to navigate and I placed my order for a Dewalt drill for next day collection. A completely different experience, loads of parking and my item was ready for collection. Nice chap served me, polite and efficient and I was on my way within 10mins. Overall a great experience. And this Dewalt works as it should.

Needed an exchange…no if’s or buts, “Absolutely Sir, is there anything wrong with the items being returned”…”What can I get you In replacement?” Simple, quick and efficient service. The staff are always lovely and polite in Tunstall. Thank you.

Easy to order. Not available until next day but text message and emails sent to inform of progress of order. Early next day informed ready to collect. Excellent service by polite and friendly staff.

The staff organised for an employee to transfer some stock from their branch in Goole to the one I shopped at in Thorne. Unfortunately the company no longer does this themselves and if they had not have done that then I would have had to have a refund and gone next door to Screwfix who do still adopt this practice.

I am a self employed gas engineer/plumber. Most of my work is service and repairs but also do some installation work. TS are always my go to place for 'off the shelf' fittings and parts. Especially when I know exactly what I am looking for I always use their click and collect service which in general works very well. I wait for my message to say my order is ready for collection. Occasionally I might have to wait to get served when they are particularly busy but I find it really good that when placing my order it is clear that it is 'in stock' and will definitely be there for me to pick up. This isn't so clear at another similar business I sometimes use and I end up ordering something to collect but it turns out it isn't available until the following day. TS are much clearer about this which saves me time and the frustration getting a refund. Many thanks TS. Keep up the good work. Businesses like mine need businesses like TS.

I was having trouble installing a new washing machine waste pipe because it had been reduced from 40mm to 32mm. I took the pipe work with me and the gentleman was very helpful in looking for a piece that would make it work with the old pipe work but that wasn’t successful so he found all the pipe work and bends I needed to remake it out of 40mm. He was very patient and just showed me how the pipes connect together it was very helpful and much appreciated.

Ordered on line , 2 days later arrived, wrong, went to nearest store, sorted it out , toolstation fault, not mine , reordered, right stuff arrived on doorstep 2 days later , good service.

Use Tool Station all of the time. I’m always making or building something so I am always needing stuff. Tool station is convenient and prices are good.

at the Louth branch the man was more than helpful and the pole hedge trimmer and chainsaw he sold me is as he said the tool for the job and good quality and competitively priced

Easy to order online and the item was on offer too, which was a bonus - the only problem I always find with the Dorchester branch is the parking. But other than that, always a good experience.

I bought a grey glass splashback which it turns out I needed a metal one, well I've been trying to send it back for two weeks now but the store won't take it as it came straight from the supplier but customer services need to contact the supplier to arrange collection but everytime I speak to them it never happens? I've just been to the store today and they have escalated it for the second time! We shall see what happens?

I bought 2 tins to cover the rust forming on our all black sun loungers. No masking needed and it's a perfect match. Because the covers are also black there was no need to mask up for once.
Half a tin left to touch up should anything rust reappear. Very happy
